It's Been Awhile

Hello!

I know it's been awhile since I posted anything. Have been busy on two vacations! That feels good to say because as a single woman in NYC, vacations were few and far between. We had a great time!

Tamarindo is awesome.  I think it took about five minutes to decide we would love to live there! I'm a Jersey Girl who grew up going to the beach and it's so ingrained in my soul. Personally I feel so at peace by the ocean. It's where I feel the closest to God.  Jesse just loved all the nature around us and he is actually learning to relax. Myah said it was her favorite vacation! She loves the beach and anywhere there is a pool she loves. It was calmer for her too!

We explored four different schools in Guanacaste (Tamarindo's province)  and we found two we liked. Have decided on one we want her to attend. It's actually bi-lingual. It is also the one Myah liked the best.  However, she is reluctant to move, as you can imagine.  In the long run, though, I think she will appreciate that we made the move.

We were somewhat irresponsible in moving here without doing our due diligence. One of the major reasons we moved to this area is because everything was accessible and since we were used to that in NYC, we thought this the best place. However, nothing here is easily accessible without using a car!! Can't walk anywhere here without threat of being run over by a vehicle of some kind. Escazu is a great place, but it's not for us. It's a great thing that we realize this place isn't for us and that we are choosing not to stay. So many times in our lives we stay in places or relationships and suffer. Why? Here we can make a positive difference in the quality of life for our family.

The last thing I want to say is that I recommend Tamarindo, Costa Rica for a great vacation!

Love and Peace
